DYE-VL Vascular Treatment
VL-Vascular Treatment
Due to multiple reasons, as we grow older our veins weaken. Mainly it happens by weakened valves, which cause blood to pool rather than flow to the heart. As a result, these blood vessels become enlarged and visible. One of the side effects of this issue is the appearance of various types of vascular lesions, most commonly known as ‘spider’ veins. These usually appear on the cheeks and around the nasal areas on the face, but can also occur on the decolletage due to excessive U.V exposure. Using our advanced Dye-VL technology in Bondi Junction, we can now safely and easily remove facial spider veins and improve the capillary damage on the decolletage.

How VL-Vascular Treatment Works
Vascular lesions are common abnormalities of the skin and the underlying tissues. This causes blood vessels like veins and arteries to appear on the skin, giving the skin a reddish appearance.
DYE-VL technology is based on Alma’s AFT™ (Advanced Fluorescence Technology). This technology treatment offers effective, non-invasive solutions that close these veins and reduce or eliminate their appearance. The treatment utilises a precise laser wavelengths that target only the malformed blood vessel beneath the skin and stop the blood supply to it. The result is smooth, spotless, clear skin and renewed confidence. The treatments are safe and effective for light to medium skin types and provide reliable, long-term results.

VL - Vascular Treatment is a non-surgical procedure designed to address the appearance of vascular lesions, including spider veins and broken capillaries. The treatment uses advanced Dye-VL technology, which applies targeted laser energy to treat the affected blood vessels beneath the skin. This process effectively reduces redness and enhances the overall skin tone. It works by closing off the damaged vessels, preventing further blood flow, and improving the skin's texture. Suitable for light to medium skin types, the treatment is an effective option for treating facial veins, capillary damage on the chest, and other vascular issues caused by aging or excessive sun exposure.

DYE-VL Vascular Treatment targets spider veins and capillaries by using a precise laser that focuses on the blood vessels beneath the skin’s surface. The treatment uses specific wavelengths of light that are absorbed by the affected veins. This energy causes the blood vessels to collapse and close off, reducing their visibility. As the blood flow to the treated veins is stopped, they gradually fade from view, leaving the skin smoother and more even in tone. DYE-VL is a non-invasive and effective solution for treating spider veins, with minimal discomfort and no long recovery period. It is suitable for light to medium skin types and can significantly improve the appearance of the skin in areas like the face and decolletage.

DYE-VL Vascular Treatment is suitable for various areas of the body where vascular issues like spider veins are visible. It is commonly used on the face, particularly on the cheeks and around the nose, where these veins often appear. The treatment is also effective for addressing capillary damage on the decolletage, which is frequently caused by sun exposure. In addition, DYE-VL can be applied to other areas with visible blood vessels or vascular lesions, helping to enhance the skin's overall appearance.

Yes, DYE-VL Vascular Treatment is highly effective for reducing facial redness and treating broken capillaries. DYE-VL is particularly effective for conditions like rosacea and other vascular concerns on the face, including visible capillaries around the nose and cheeks. It is a non-invasive treatment that provides long-term results with minimal downtime, making it an ideal solution for improving the appearance of facial redness and broken capillaries.

Most people need around six sessions of DYE-VL Vascular Treatment for the best results. The exact number may vary based on the severity of the condition and individual skin response. A consultation with a specialist will help create a personalised plan for long-term improvement in redness, broken capillaries, and vascular lesions.
-
VL - Vascular Treatment is most effective for light to medium skin types. The treatment is specifically designed to target vascular lesions while minimising the risk of skin damage, making it suitable for individuals with lighter skin tones. For those with darker skin types, a consultation with a specialist is recommended to assess the suitability of the treatment, as different skin tones may require adjustments to the laser settings to ensure safety and effectiveness. The treatment provides a safe, non-invasive solution for improving the appearance of vascular concerns in appropriate skin types, with minimal downtime and long-lasting results.

Yes, VL - Vascular Treatment can help reduce slight pigmentation in addition to treating vascular lesions. The laser technology used in the treatment targets both blood vessels and areas of pigmentation, making it effective for addressing redness, uneven skin tone, and pigmented spots caused by vascular issues. As the treatment works to close off malformed blood vessels, it also helps to improve the skin's overall appearance by reducing the discolouration and creating a more even skin tone. This makes VL - Vascular Treatment a dual-purpose solution for both vascular lesions and pigmentation concerns.

A typical DYE-VL Vascular Treatment session usually lasts between 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the size and number of areas being treated. The procedure is quick and minimally invasive, with little to no downtime required afterward. During the session, a specialist will apply the laser to the targeted areas, and most clients experience only mild discomfort, which subsides shortly after the treatment. The session length may vary based on individual needs, but it is generally a convenient option for those with busy schedules seeking effective results in a short amount of time.

Downtime is minimal after DYE-VL Vascular Treatment. Most people can return to their usual activities straight away. Mild redness or swelling, similar to sunburn, may occur but usually fades within a day. Treated veins might darken temporarily before fading over one to two weeks. Following aftercare advice, like avoiding sun exposure and using gentle skincare, helps support healing and results.
-
While the primary focus of the treatment is to address vascular issues like spider veins and capillary damage, it also offers additional benefits for the skin. The laser energy stimulates collagen production, which can lead to firmer, smoother skin. This process can help tighten pores, refine skin texture, and enhance the overall appearance of the treated areas. As a result, clients often notice a more even, youthful complexion with improved skin tone and texture following the treatment.

The treatment uses advanced laser technology that specifically targets vascular lesions without affecting the surrounding skin. It is designed to minimise the risk of side effects, making it a suitable option for individuals with light to medium skin tones. For those with darker skin types, it is recommended to consult a specialist to determine whether adjustments to the treatment settings are necessary to ensure safety and effectiveness. Overall, VL - Vascular Treatment provides a non-invasive and reliable solution for reducing vascular issues in lighter skin tones.
-
DYE-VL Vascular Treatment is generally considered safe with minimal side effects. However, like any cosmetic treatment, some mild reactions can occur. Common side effects include temporary redness or swelling in the treated area, similar to a mild sunburn, which typically subsides within a few hours to a day. It is also possible to experience slight bruising or sensitivity, but these effects are usually temporary. To minimise the risk of side effects, it is important to follow aftercare instructions, such as avoiding sun exposure and using soothing skincare products.
-
Improvements from VL - Vascular Treatment are usually noticeable within 1 to 2 weeks after the session. Initially, the treated veins may appear darker as they begin to break down and fade, but this is a normal part of the healing process. Over the following weeks, the vascular lesions gradually become less visible, and the skin tone starts to even out. For optimal results, a series of treatments may be recommended, depending on the severity of the vascular concerns. Most clients see significant improvement after completing the full course of treatment, typically within 6 sessions.
-
Most clients describe the sensation as mild discomfort or a slight stinging or warming feeling during the treatment. The laser pulses feel similar to the snap of a rubber band against the skin. Any discomfort is usually brief and subsides quickly once the treatment is complete. For those with sensitive skin, a cooling gel or topical numbing cream may be applied to help minimise discomfort. Overall, the procedure is not painful, and most people find it manageable with little to no discomfort during and after the session.
